The Australian Standards for Security Doors and Grilles, which was upgraded in July 2003, does not dictate how a security product should be made but sets out a range of testing methods that these products should meet. These tests simulate kicking at the grille, levering at specific points with a 300mm screwdriver and pulling with a weight similar to a large man.
